You're trusting someone with moments you can't recreate, and I believe the experience, preparation, expertise, and professionalism behind the camera matter just as much as the photographs themselves.
My Approach

My approach is rooted in lifestyle photography, capturing this season of life as it really feels. We'll start with simple prompts to help you get comfortable, then add movement, play, and plenty of room to be yourselves. I'll still capture those timeless, everyone-looking-and-smiling portraits, but I also want the messy, playful, quiet, and in-between moments that show your personalities and the way you love each other right now.
NATURE-INSPIRED
Nature is never just the background for me. I’ll use the flowers, sand, water, trees, and whatever else is around us to make the environment part of your photos. And yes, you may find me halfway in a bush trying to get some greenery in the foreground.
LIFESTYLE STORYTELLING
I want your photos to actually feel like you. We’ll get the timeless, smiling-at-the-camera photos too, but I’m always looking for the movement, personality, love, and little moments that show what this season of life really looks like.
CHILD-LED
Kids are allowed to be kids here. My background in early childhood education taught me a lot about development, play, and working with different personalities. If they need to run, explore, play, or take a break, we work with it instead of fighting it.

EXPERIENCE + EDUCATION
8 years behind the camera, continued photography education, and a background in early childhood education that comes in especially handy with kids and a little chaos.
TECHNICAL KNOWLEDGE
I know my gear and how to use it. From lenses and lighting to exposure, white balance, and composition, I shoot intentionally to get the image right in camera.

What you see in my portfolio is what you can expect in your gallery. I'm also big on communication, meeting deadlines, and following through on what I promise.

Kailey B Photo is an LLC, insured, and properly licensed where I work, with contracts, invoices, retainers, and clear policies for every booking.
YOUR PHOTOS ARE PROTECTED
My camera records to dual memory cards, then your images are backed up to an external hard drive, cloud storage, and Lightroom. I also keep a backup after your gallery expires.
LOCAL KNOWLEDGE
As a Charleston native, I know how the Lowcountry changes throughout the year, helping me plan around locations, light, tides, heat, seasons, and unpredictable weather.

02. BOOK YOUR DATE
Once you're ready, you'll receive everything you need to make it official. Your questionnaire helps me get to know you and your vision, and your contract and 50% retainer secure your date on my calendar.
03. PLAN + PREPARE
You’ll receive my Style Guide, and I’ll help with locations, outfits, timing, and questions along the way. We’ll plan around your vision, the season, lighting, and the people I’m photographing so you can show up feeling prepared.
04. SESSION + DELIVERY
On session day, I’ll guide you through prompts and movement while leaving room for the moments that happen naturally. You’ll receive a sneak peek within 72 hours and your proof gallery within 2–3 weeks.
